Understanding Misdemeanors and Felonies in Florida

Florida’s criminal offenses are divided into two main categories: misdemeanors and felonies. While felonies carry more severe penalties, misdemeanors should not be taken lightly, as they can still result in jail time, fines, and long-term consequences.
